As part of a personal exploration into game asset development, I created a detailed and game-ready model of the Glock 19 with trie count 11.4k , a widely used modern sidearm. This project served as an opportunity to refine my hard-surface modeling techniques and push for clean, production-ready results suitable for real-time applications.
While not developed for a specific title, the asset was built with game engine integration in mind, adhering to performance and visual fidelity standards for engines like Unreal and Unity.
Responsibilities:
• Modeled the Glock 19 using a high-to-low poly workflow with optimized topology and UV mapping.
• Developed realistic PBR textures capturing surface materials, wear, and subtle detail.
• Followed the complete asset pipeline: blockout, high-poly sculpting, retopology, UV unwrapping, baking, and final texturing.
• Ensured mechanical accuracy and animation-readiness for potential first- or third-person implementation.
Key Achievements:
• Produced a polished, game-ready weapon model with 4K texture maps and efficient geometry.
• Further honed technical skills in real-time asset development, material creation, and baking workflows.
• Reinforced understanding of industry-standard asset pipelines and best practices for solo development.
