As part of a personal project focused on supporting props and hard-surface asset design, I created a 3D gun case optimized for use in games. This asset was built to function as an interactive or environmental prop, suitable for FPS loadout scenes, weapon customization menus, or background storytelling elements.
Designed with clean topology and detailed PBR materials, the case features reinforced edges, latches, and interior foam padding modeled to realistically hold various weapon types.
Responsibilities:
• Modeled the gun case using a high-to-low poly workflow with optimized geometry and clean UVs.
• Created detailed PBR textures showcasing metal hardware, molded plastic, and interior foam.
• Followed the full asset pipeline: blockout, high-poly sculpting, retopology, UV unwrapping, baking, and texturing.
• Built the asset to be modular and ready for use in first-person or cinematic scenes.
Key Achievements:
• Delivered a polished, game-ready prop suitable for real-time use in FPS or tactical games.
• Practiced prop storytelling and material definition through surface detailing and wear.
• Improved workflow efficiency in modeling secondary game assets with high production value.
