As part of a personal project focused on small-scale prop modeling, I created a game-ready M84 stun grenade, commonly known as a flashbang. With a triangle count of 13.8K, the asset was designed with close-up cinematic quality in mind while maintaining real-time performance standards.
This project allowed me to practice modeling compact, detail-rich props and further develop my skills in PBR material creation and high-to-low poly workflows.
Responsibilities:
• Modeled the M84 grenade using a high-to-low poly workflow with optimized topology and UVs.
• Created PBR textures to accurately represent the metallic body, paint wear, and rubber components.
• Worked through the full asset pipeline: blockout, high-poly modeling, retopology, UV mapping, baking, and texturing.
• Focused on achieving realism suitable for both FPS gameplay and cinematic sequences.
Key Achievements:
• Delivered a detailed, real-time-ready prop at 13.8K tris with 4K PBR textures.
• Strengthened understanding of small-scale prop detailing and material definition.
• Refined skills in asset optimization for high-quality first-person weapon accessories.
