As part of a personal project focused on environment asset creation, I designed and modeled a set of high-detail shipping containers intended for use in game environments. With a polycount of approximately 49K, the asset balances visual fidelity with real-time performance, making it suitable for use in cinematic sequences, close-up scenes, or high-end games.
This project allowed me to explore environment prop workflows, refine my hard-surface modeling techniques, and push the level of detail typically seen in modular game assets.
Responsibilities:
• Modeled high-poly and game-ready versions of shipping containers with detailed geometry and clean topology.
• Created PBR textures that reflect realistic material aging, surface wear, and decals commonly seen in industrial assets.
• Followed the complete asset workflow: blockout, high-poly sculpting, retopology, UV mapping, baking, and texturing.
• Maintained modularity and consistency for integration into larger game environments or asset packs.
Key Achievements:
• Delivered a visually detailed, real-time-ready container model at 49K tris with 4K texture maps.
• Gained experience in environment asset optimization and modular asset design.
• Improved realism in surface detailing and material definition for hard-surface props.
